One fact about me: I love perfumes. To me, perfumes are an instant pick-me-up and they complete any outfit. I love how I can just spritz on a perfume, and even if I’m working from home in my sweats and a messy bun that day, I will instantly feel more put together and ladylike!

Prada La Femme
Prada La Femme is just sophistication is a bottle to me, but at the same time is a very wearable everyday fragrance. It smells clean and soapy but not in a boring way. It smells very expensive but it’s around the average price for a designer perfume. The main notes are fragipani, tuberose and ylang ylang which makes it a sophisticated and unusual floral. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this scent, and people always ask me what perfume I’m wearing.
Tom Ford Black Orchid
Tom Ford Black Orchid is a modern classic and one of my all-time favorite fragrances. It’s perfect for making any woman feel sexy and confident. The main notes are black truffle, ylang ylang, bergamot, black currant and it has strong base notes of chocolate, patchouli and vanilla. It’s a very unique and luxurious fragrance that always gets compliments. I would recommend this for night time and winter because it’s pretty heavy for summer.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540
Now, you may have heard of this one if you have an interest in luxury fragrances or beauty because it has really taken the perfume world by storm since its release a few years ago! It is a very unusual scent, kind of sweet like cotton candy but also a sharp saffron note that is sometimes described as plasticky or even medicinal! That might not sound too tempting but trust me, it works. This perfume will make you smell rich because it is expensive, and those in the know, know. Trust me, it’s very recognisable and people will know that you have good taste when they smell this on you.
Ariana Grande Cloud
Want to smell expensive but can’t afford Maison Francis Kurkdjian prices? You’re in luck because this super-affordable celebrity fragrance is often said to be a dupe for the famous BR540. Those is the know say they smell different close up, but the scent cloud you leave behind you is very similar. Smell like you’re wearing an exclusive designer perfume for a fraction of the price!
Prada Infusion d’Iris
Another Prada favourite. I love Prada perfumes for their simple elegance. This is a very clean and understated perfume that will some people say smells like expensive soap. It’s perfect to wear to the office when you don’t want your perfume to stand out.
Penhaligon’s Bluebell
Penhaligon’s is a classic British brand that just says class to me. Bluebell was apparently Princess Diana’s perfume of choice, so what could be a better choice if you want to smell like royalty! It’s very fresh, green and floral. You will smell like you’ve been frolicking in a meadow – in a high class way, of course. Perfect for spring.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
Of course, I had to include Chanel on this list. Chanel fragrances just ooze luxury. Coco Mademoiselle is a modern classic that is perfect for any woman who wants to feel confident and sexy. It’s a very strong fragrance, so for me it works best at night time or in the winter, although I think this is considered classic enough to wear all year round. The main notes are orange, jasmine and patchouli.

Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil
Hermes are renowned for their simple, understated luxury. This is the brand you wear when you’re rich but don’t need to shout about it. The Jardins series has a number of perfumes that are all unisex and based on gardens around the world. They are fresh and clean, and perfect for the office or travelling when you don’t want to offend people with a strong scent. Un Jardin Sur Le Nil is inspired by the perfumer’s trip to Egypt and has unusual notes such as green mango and tomato leaf.
Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady
This is a very controversial perfume, and you will either love it or hate it. I think it’s perfect for someone who wants to smell luxurious and different. It was inspired by 19th century novelist Henry James’ Portrait of a Lady character Isabel Archer, and is meant to be a very complex scent that changes throughout the day. The key notes are rose, patchouli and incense. Despite the name, it is generally considered to be unisex. Choose this one if you want to project confidence and stand out in the crowd!
